Side effects

Contraindications

Approved semaglutide products are contraindicated with a personal/family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2 and with serious hypersensitivity. Weight-management use is not appropriate in pregnancy; severe gastroparesis and pancreatitis/gallbladder history require clinician assessment.

Interactions

Slower gastric emptying can change absorption/timing of oral medicines. When combined with insulin or insulin secretagogues, hypoglycemia risk can rise; dose adjustment belongs under medical supervision. Do not combine overlapping incretin therapies unless specifically studied/prescribed.
